Milestones achieved in empowering the LGBTI community in Nepal

✅ Provided skill training (driving training and security) to more than 120 people from LBTI community and most of them are engaged in employment.
✅ Organized as many as 312 members from LBTI community from different parts of country.
✅ Received ‘Sangatee Grant Award’ as recognition of the work by Feminist Network of South Asia and Tewa Nepal.
✅ We have built strong relationship with community and LBTI national networks.
✅ Our regular lobby and advocacy has resulted in allocation of 1 percent quota for LBTI community in public service in Lumbini province (Province no. 5) and also 2% budget provision in Koshi province (Province 1)

✅ The new amendment Act of Nepal Government 2069 (Circular 2013) has made provision to provide citizenship to LBTI community as well (girl, boy and other) whereas previous legislation had provision of providing citizenship only to male and female.
✅ Some provincial government has initiated to allocate some budget for the empowerment and skill development of LBTI community.
✅ Inclusion of LBTI community in national census of Nepal Government 2021 has been ensured with 2928 LBTI members.
✅ Government recognizes our organization and invites our organization in every policy dialogue and our organization is more visible in policy dialogue/advocacy initiatives for LBTI community
